More Than a Teapot — A Moment
In Japanese culture, a perfect tea ceremony has nothing to do with perfection. It's about intention, presence, and the beauty of things as they are. Wabi-sabi celebrates the cracks, the uneven glaze, the marks of time.
This teapot is designed for that philosophy. The bamboo handle stays cool in your hand. The ceramic holds heat without burning. The glaze — each piece unique, with intentional variation — reminds you that imperfection is the whole point.
Brew. Pause. Sip. That's the ritual.
Everything You Need to Know
Material: Handcrafted ceramic body with wabi-sabi glaze, solid bamboo handle and lid knob
Capacity: Approximately 500–600ml (2–3 cups)
Height: Approximately 10 cm (excluding lid)
Diameter: Approximately 10 cm at widest point
Glaze: Wabi-sabi finish — intentional variations in tone and surface. Each piece is unique.
Food-safe: Yes. Safe for hot tea, coffee, or any hot beverage.
How to use: Heat water separately (in a kettle or on the stove). Pour into the teapot to steep. Do NOT place the teapot directly on heat. The bamboo handle stays cool, and the ceramic holds heat efficiently.
Care instructions: Rinse gently with warm water after each use. Dry thoroughly. Do NOT soak or place in the dishwasher. For the bamboo handle, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and air-dry. Periodically apply food-grade bamboo oil to maintain the finish. The ceramic glaze will develop a subtle patina over time — this is intentional and beautiful.
Good to know: Each piece is handcrafted. Glaze variations, color shifts, and uneven surfaces are not defects — they're evidence of authentic handwork and wabi-sabi philosophy. This teapot will look better and improve in character with every cup.
